How does the Barrel Savings app work without an internet connection?
The Barrel Savings App is a savings tracker that provides full functionality without needing to connect to any internet servers. Your device hardware is sufficient to manage your savings goals entirely offline.
Are my savings logs safe?
Yes. We do not collect your savings information or upload your notes, milestones, goals etc. Your data remains completely private on your own device.
What's the difference between the app and the money box?
They work together as a system. The app resides in your pocket for tracking your progress, while the barrel can be kept in a secure location at home. The intended use is to log your savings additions in the app and then deposit your cash into the physical barrel.
Do I need an account?
You do not need an account to use our website or app.

Is the app compatible with all Android devices?
The Barrel Savings app is built for modern Android devices. We focus on keeping the interface lightweight to ensure it runs smoothly on a wide variety of hardware configurations.
Why does my app version looks different to the provided app screenshots?
In some cases your display settings of your Android device may be too large or too small. Try accessing Android > Settings and testing different font or screen-layout size displays.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Because our system is strictly offline-first to protect your privacy, there is no clear access to backup data. A lost phone means you lost the full Barrel Savings experience too.
Can I export my savings history?
Currently, the app focuses on providing a clean, simple tracking experience. We are always looking at ways to improve the tool and value feedback from our users regarding features like data exports. But as of now, we do not have an export option.
Is there a way to reset my progress?
Yes. You can clear your app cache and storage directly within Android App Settings. This will reset your current progress, allowing you to start a fresh sheet whenever you are ready again.
